A Cultural Start to Autumn in Paris
Posted in Paris le 5 September 2025

In September, Paris puts on its autumn colors and reopens the doors of its museums with a rich and inspiring artistic program.
From Hôtel Beaugrenelle Saint-Charles, ideally located in the 15th arrondissement, set out to discover the must-see exhibitions of this 2025 cultural season.
From great painting masters to contemporary creations, the capital stands out as a top destination for art enthusiasts.
Two Major Exhibitions Not to Miss
The cultural season kicks off in style with two flagship exhibitions. The Musée du Luxembourg shines a spotlight on Paintings on Paper by Pierre Soulages, revealing an intimate and radiant side of the master of Outrenoir. This dive into his work on paper offers a fresh exploration of material and light.
Just a few metro stops away, the Musée d’Orsay pays tribute to John Singer Sargent with an exceptional retrospective focusing on his Parisian years (1874–1884). The exhibition highlights the refinement and modernity of this portraitist, deeply influenced by Impressionism and an iconic figure of the Belle Époque.
Hurry—Before They’re Gone!
September is also the perfect time to catch ongoing exhibitions before they end. Stamp Notebooks: In the Spirit of the Times at the Musée de la Poste runs until October 13.
The Museum of Jewish Art and History (MAHJ) hosts The Migrant Dance by Paula Padani until November 16. And contemporary art lovers can still admire the works of Niki de Saint Phalle, Jean Tinguely, and Rick Owens through January 4, 2026.
A Special Encounter with Parisian Heritage
The European Heritage Days will take place in Paris on September 20–21, 2025, under the theme Architectural Heritage. For the occasion, monuments, museums, public institutions, and unusual locations will open their doors—often for free.
More than 1,500 sites in the Île-de-France region will offer a wide range of activities: guided tours, cultural walks, workshops, and access to spaces usually closed to the public.
Just steps from the Eiffel Tower, Hôtel Beaugrenelle Saint-Charles is the perfect starting point for an intense and vibrant cultural experience in the heart of Paris.
